Beat Auburn Beat Hunger (BABH) is a student organization that unites The University of Alabama and Tuscaloosa communities to help fight hunger  in West Alabama.

What does Beat Auburn Beat Hunger do?

Every year, BABH competes with Auburn University’s Beat Bama Food Drive in a food drive to benefit local food banks. This friendly competition has raised over 9 million pounds of food for Alabamians since its inception in 1993. In addition to the annual food drive, BABH engages in year-round education and advocacy related to food insecurity issues.

How do I join Beat Auburn Beat Hunger?

BABH staff applications open in the Fall semester, attend an informational meeting to learn how you join to  help fight hunger in West Alabama. The university community can all participate throughout the year by volunteering with the West Alabama Food Bank or the on campus food pantry BAMA Cares, donating Meal Swipes through BAMA Dining or donating food items to the drive every October- November.
